Sri Sri Vishwaprasanna Teertha Swamiji is the current pontiff of the Sri Pejavara Adhokshaja Matha, one of the eight Ashta Mathas of Udupi, Karnataka. He is the successor of Sri Vishwesha Teertha Swamiji, who was a highly revered saint known for his spiritual leadership and social service. Sri Sri Vishwaprasanna Teertha Swamiji follows in his guru’s footsteps, continuing the tradition of Dvaita Vedanta as established by Sri Madhvacharya.

Swamiji is actively involved in various social, educational, and religious initiatives. He has been a key figure in the Sri Ram Janmabhoomi movement and played an important role in the construction of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya. He also works towards the upliftment of underprivileged communities, promoting education, healthcare, and spiritual awareness. Known for his simple lifestyle and deep devotion to Lord Krishna, he travels extensively to spread the teachings of Sanatana Dharma.

"His vision is to uphold the values of Bhakti (devotion), Jnana (knowledge), and Seva (service), guiding devotees toward a path of righteousness and devotion."

Sri Sri Vishwaprasanna Teertha is the 34th seer in the lineage, or guruparampara, of Pejawar Muth. He was born in the year 1964 at Haleyangady-Pakshikere in Dakshina Kannada district to Krishna Bhat and Yamunamma. His purvashrama (pre-sannyasa) name was Devidas Bhat, and he received sanyasa Deeksha from his guru Sri Sri Vishwesha Tirtha Swamiji in 1988 at the age of 24.

His Holiness completed his Vedic studies at Admar Gurukula and studied Vedanta Vidwat at SMSP Sanskrit College. He is a scholar of all four Vedas and earned his B.A. from Poorna Prajna Evening College in Udupi. A true polyglot, Swamiji is fluent in Kannada, Tulu, Hindi, Sanskrit, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and English.

Beyond his spiritual duties, he is the present President of Janata Shikshana Samiti and publishes the monthly magazine ‘Achara Vichara’. He is also a dedicated yoga practitioner and a skilled swimmer. His commitment to Dharma Prachara is evidenced by the establishment of "Prahlada Gurukula" in Udupi and a massive Goshala near Neelavara, where over 2,000 cows are currently protected.
